Finding Nourishment and Rest…

“For in him we live and move and have our being…” Acts 17:28

As some of you know, who subscribe to this blog or follow my Facebook page, these last couple months have been a whirlwind of activity. My eldest son graduated high school. My younger son is on two baseball teams and just starting football practice as he heads to high school in the fall. There have been work transitions, house guests, party plans and all the regular stuff that comes with life, and I am wiped out.

I am thankful that physically I am faring pretty well, some minor setbacks and no new food introductions, but I haven’t needed to completely miss out on any important events. Although I have continued to read my Bible (even just a little each day), pray, and hear some good sermons, I feel depleted. I feel depleted spiritually and at times, emotionally, like I need to fill back up, recuperate, and recover.

I had hoped that after all this busyness had ended I could jump feet first into the several projects I had planned, but I feel at this time I need to slow down and take some time to nourish my own spiritual and emotional health, so that I can offer you my best (as unto the Lord) instead of my left-overs.

I am going to take the month of June to seek the Lord, read my Bible, read some good books (some of which I started months ago), rest, pray and listen. The tag line for this blog is “Finding Nourishment and Rest in the Abundance of Christ”. I know exactly where the source is for all of my needs, Christ himself, and I just need to take some time to fill back up so that I may pour back out.

I’ll continue to occasionally post on my Instagram, and the Facebook page, and if you message me, here or there, I will be sure to get back to you ASAP!

Blessings to you!
